Johanna Drucker is the Breslauer Professor of Bibliographical Studies in the Department of Information Studies at UCLA. She is internationally known for her work in artists’ books, the history of graphic design, typography, experimental poetry, fine art, and digital humanities. Recent titles include: Graphesis: Visual Forms of Knowledge Production (Harvard University Press, 2014), The General Theory of Social Relativity (The Elephants, 2018), Downdrift: An Eco-fiction (Three Rooms Press, 2018), and Visualization: Modelling Interpretation (forthcoming). Off-World Fairy Tales, a collaboration with Susan Bee, was published in Fall 2020 (Litmus Press).

Steve Clay is the Founder and Director of Granary Books, as well as an editor, curator, archivist, and writer specializing in literature and art of the 1960s, ’70s, and ’80s. He is the author or editor of several volumes including, most recently, Intermedia, Fluxus, and the Something Else Press: Selected Writings by Dick Higgins. For thirty-five years, Granary Books has brought together writers, artists, and bookmakers to investigate verbal/visual relations in the time-honored spirit of independent publishing. Granary’s mission—to produce, promote, document, and theorize new works exploring the intersection of word, image, and page—has earned the Press a reputation as one of the most unique and significant small publishers operating today

Steve Woodall is a collections specialist for artists’ books at the Achenbach Foundation, Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, currently working on media-rich websites that represent bookworks in the collection. Formerly director of the Center for Book and Paper Arts at Columbia College Chicago, he managed the development of Expanded Artists’ Books, a studio-based project with artists to examine the relationship between print and digital media. From 1999-2001 he was an artist in residence at Xerox PARC, part of the research project XFR: Experiments in the Future of Reading.
